Thanks in Teal & Black

My sister did a huge favor for me, big enough that it deserved more than a simple "thank you" or just a card (although she got both of those). Since she's big on teal, I decided that's what she needed...

...a little teal pendant

...and a BIG teal pendant

...on a double chain. Since she has short hair, I couldn't neglect the back of the necklace! So a couple of black and teal glass beads graced the toggle clasp. And there you have it!

That's how a true beadoholic says "thank you." :)

September Bead Party!

Time for the September Bead Party!

We started off with a mess, but we ended up with a couple of beauties.

 

It was time to finish a few projects, so I got together with a couple of my favorite ladies and went to town. 

I have to say, there's nothing nicer than making something you can be proud of. Something you think is beautiful. And probably most importantly, something you'll actually wear!

 
Here's a pair of glass beaded earrings. These are simple earrings you can do yourself. A little chain, some beads, some head pins and you're set. 

The wire work actually wasn't too much work at all. The spirals are simply the ends of the silver head pins hammered in place. Fun right?

It was for me. :)
