Yo-Yo and Pearl Bracelet

I had a lot of birthdays this last month... and as a true beadoholic, I gave them beads. :)

The first one I made was for a really crafty girl who can make anything. She loves paper. She loves vintage. She loves unique. She loves classy. And what on earth do you give someone who can MAKE anything herself??

I pulled out my tools and went to work... effectively making a large bead mess. :)

Happy Bead Messes

I started by making old-fashioned yo-yos or granny knots out of different colored plaids. Then I sewed a medium-sized pearl bead to the centers of each one.  Then I stitched the yo-yo to the rose-gold chain.

Metal Flower Charm & Yo Yo Flowers

Between each yo-yo, the bracelet needed a little bling. Dangling pearls from short pinheads and attaching a few tiny metal flowers did the trick.

Finishing Touches on the Pearl & Yo Yo Bracelet

But of course, presentation is everything! I found a darling stamp that says "Handmade Because You're Worth It!" Attached it to a small strip of colorful cardstock, hole-punched and cut the edges, and... perfect.

It's ready to wrap!
